Whilst Flintshire County Council is the primary unitary Council for the area with responsibility for the strategic development and promotion of tourism and associated economic opportunities within the County, Mold Town Council takes an active role in this field.

Tourist Information Centre

Mold Town Council is one of the two organisations that fund the provision of the Tourist Information Centre (TIC), the only one in the County of Flintshire, which is sited at the Library in the Daniel Owen Shopping Centre.  The TIC is managed by North Wales Tourism with funding provided by Mold Town Council and Flintshire County Council.  The contribution of Mold Town Council in the current year 2012/13 is 10,000 (plus VAT) with the County Council contributing the accommodation and a further amount to balance the accounts.
