MOLD TOWN COUNCIL ELECTION NOTICE

An election will be held for Mold Town Council for Town Councillors in Broncoed Ward and East Ward in Mold. Here's what you need to know:
1. How to Get Nomination Papers
  • Nomination papers are available from the Returning Officer. You can:
  • Collect in person: Visit the office at Tŷ Dewi Sant, St. David’s Park, Ewloe, Flintshire, CH5 3FF
  • Request electronically: Email candidates@flintshire.gov.uk.
2. Submitting Your Nomination Papers
  • By appointment: Deliver your papers to the Returning Officer at Tŷ Dewi Sant on any working day (Monday to Friday).
  • Electronically: Follow the instructions in the 'Electronic Delivery Statement' below.
  • Deadline: All nomination papers must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday, 7th March 2025.
3. Election Day
  • If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday, 3rd April 2025.
4. Voter Registration
  • To vote in this election, make sure you're registered by 12 midnight on Tuesday, 18th March 2025. You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
5. Postal and Proxy Voting
  • Postal Votes: Applications, amendments, or cancellations must reach the Electoral Registration Office by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, 19th March 2025. You can apply for a postal vote online at www.gov.uk/government/publications/apply-for-a-postal-vote.
  • Proxy Votes: Applications to appoint a proxy must be received by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, 26th March 2025.
  • Emergency Proxy Votes: If needed due to physical incapacity or work/service reasons, applications must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Thursday, 3rd April 2025. The reason must have occurred after 5:00 pm on Wednesday, 26th March 2025.
6. Electronic Delivery Statement
  • Informal Checks: Send to candidates@flintshire.gov.uk, with 'INFORMAL CHECK – MTCBW25' in the subject.
  • Formal Submissions: Send to nominations@flintshire.gov.uk, with 'FORMAL NOMINATION SUBMISSION – MTCBW25' in the subject.
  • Format: Submit your nomination as a PDF or Word document.
  • Confirmation: You’ll receive an automated reply when your submission is received. The Returning Officer will inform you whether your nomination is valid. An automated read receipt is not confirmation of validity.
