Sid Matthews Community Awards is an annual event, open for nominees from the local community in March  2018

The awards, presented by the Town Mayor on behalf of the Town Council is in memory of the town's former clerk Sid Matthews who held the post from 1974 - 1988.

Nominations can be put forward in four categories covering outstanding voluntary service and / or outstanding achievement within the community of Mold.

They include an individual living with the town, an organisation based in Mold, a young person living within the town or a youth organisation based in Mold.

Presentation of the Sid Matthews Community Awards will be held on 16^th May 2018 during the Town Council Annual General Meeting.
