Afternoon tea with the Mayor
Calling all Mold’s 90 year olds……
come and join the Mayor for an afternoon tea!
As part of the towns celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday, the prospective Mayor of Mold, Councillor Anthony Parry, is inviting residents of Mold who will be 90 years of age during 2016 to join him and other members of Mold Town Council, for afternoon tea to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th Birthday and their own 90th year. The special event is to be held in the Greenroom, at Wales & West Housing Llys Jasmine Extra Care facility, Clayton Road, Mold on Friday 10th June and is open to all residents (and a personal guest) born during 1926 and who celebrate their own milestone 90th birthday this year.
The Mayor of Mold elect, Cllr Anthony Parry, said “The Queen’s 90th birthday is a great opportunity for us to celebrate her special birthday and the milestone birthdays of some of our oldest residents. I am thoroughly looking forward to the afternoon and hearing stories from residents, some of whom may have lived in Mold for all their lives.”
Mold residents who qualify (people born between 1 January 1926 and 31 December 1926) are asked to express their interest in attending the event by either emailing the Town Council at supportofficer@moldtowncouncil.org.uk or calling 01352 758532, by 27th May in order that an official invitation can be sent.
The town’s celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s official 90th Birthday, will continue on Sunday 12th June when Mold Town Council will be hosting Mold Celebrates - a family event with “Music through the Decades” on Daniel Owen Square at the same time that the Queen is holding her celebration street party on The Mall.
